Andrusenko signs pro contract with Delaware Thunder

Vernal Oilers forward Nikita Andrusenko has made CAJHL history as the first-ever player to sign a professional contract! Andrusenko recently signed a Player Tryout (PTO) contract with the Delaware Thunder of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). He made his pro debut on January 22 when the Thunder faced the Port Huron Prowlers (VIDEO).

The 21-year old native of Nizhnevartovsk, Russia was playing his third season of Junior hockey in North America having previously played two seasons with the Utah Outliers. At the time of his departure Andrusenko was 11th among top league scorers with 14 goals, 29 assists in 12 games played.
