 An ice hockey official for 34 years, Mike continues to be an active on-ice official. Involved in multiple leagues at various levels across six provinces. His passion for officiating began in Nova Scotia but is proud to now call Alberta home. He's had the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of inspiring officials and management personnel and has acquired that knowledge and mentorship to become the CAJHL's Referee in Chief. He's been selected to officiate in both Regional, Provincial, and National championships which are just a few of the highlights of his officiating career. Those opportunities provided valuable experiences used to assist, mentor, and develop other officials. Mike is also an active hockey player and has a great passion for the sport of hockey

Mike is also an active serving military member for the past 21 years.

In is own words, "As the 2023/24 Referee in Chief of the CAJHL I am looking forward to working together to develop and strengthen the communication between officials, players, and coaching staff."
